Monkeys Paw – Song

Task Description: Today in literacy me and my friend Eleni,  created a song using garage band, about a book called Monkey’s Paw by W.W Jacobs ! The book is based on a Monkey’s Paw that grants wishes but also comes with severe consequences. So have a listen and comment what you think about it! Please leave a positive comment on my blog and my classmates blog.

Have a great day :))

Lyrics –

Monkey’s paw

VERSE 1 ! 2x

It was a cold black night, the mood was feeling oh so right, right, right. Sitting in the lounge was Mr and Mrs white. Then major Morris was in sight.

CHORUS ! 1x

The monkey’s paw, monkey’s paw, CLAP CLAP, you want 3 wishes go wish on, be careful what you wish, it haunts, the monkey’s paw, the monkey’s paw,

VERSE 2 ! 1x

Oooooo, ahhh, yuhhhhh, the monkey’s paw, works so good but has one flaw, make one wish you’ll be left in awe, at the end of the day you’ll wanna withdraw BOOOOMMMMM !!! The monkey’s paw, be careful what you’re wishing for, might be fun but it’s real dumb, look at her son he is real done. BOOOOMMMM GRAAAAHHHH

CHORUS ! 2x

The monkey’s paw, monkey’s paw, CLAP CLAP, you want 3 wishes go wish on, be careful what you wish, it haunts, the monkey’s paw, the monkey’s paw,

I have been absolutely blown away by your song composition based on the short story Monkey’s Paw!

The genre of background music, the key of your voices and the rhythm of the beat come together in perfect harmony. I also especially appreciated your choice of backing track and the spooky, subtle connection to a monkey grinder’s tricks: in this case, the deadly curse, of wishes gone wrong. You captured this theme of “be careful what you wish for” really expertly in your well crafting lyrics, and rhyme.

You are both SO talented. Thank you!
